Helping Hand Emergency Fund
The Helping Hand Emergency Fund assists parishioners who are facing a financial crisis due to job loss, health crisis, separation or divorce, minimum wage employment, or other reasons. Many of the individuals we assist never dreamed that they would find themselves facing a financial crisis. We consider each request for assistance individually and privately. Annually we distribute about $6,000 in grants or loans to help with rent, mortgage payments, purchase of medications, Xcel or other household bills, car repair, appliance repair, gas or food gift cards. The person-to-person contact with the pastoral minister offers nonjudgmental support that is confidential and respectful.
Special offerings at the Masses Thanksgiving and Ash Wednesday help to fund this program.
Please contact Deacon Bert Bliss, Pastoral Minister, if you would like to contribute or if you are in need of assistance. 651-379-1266
