Faith Formation is responsible for the sacramental programs of Reconciliation (Confession) and Eucharist (Communion) for the parishes of St. Michael’s and St. Mary’s. The sacramental year for these two sacraments is second grade. Faith Formation and St. Croix Catholic School, along with students in home school programs that wish to participate, form these sacramental programs. Classes and preparation for students in older grades is also available. Please call 651-351-3175 for sacramental preparation of students grades 3-6, or if you are the parent of a second grader that is in a home school program.
Note: Students making their sacraments (with the exception of SCCS students) enroll in one of the regular Faith Formation sessions Register. If you are already enrolled, do not enroll again. Through your registration, your child is included in our sacramental preparation database. St. Croix Catholic School is automatically added to the sacramental program database from a list we receive from the school and do not register through this site.
Sacramental Calendar
First Reconciliation (Confession):
When the perfect union with God and the Church has been ruptured by an act of sin, a Catholic Christian is to be reconciled with God and the community through the sacrament of reconciliation. The early Church referred to this sacrament as a mini-baptism because it returns a person to full union with the Church.
