Catholic Watchmen Gathering
2/19/2019, 7:00 PM
- St. Mary's Great Hall
These are monthly events that call men in the Stillwater parishes into community, formation, and equipping for discipleship and mission. We gather to build fraternity and zealously live the Catholic faith. The topics will have an explicit focus that relate to men’s spirituality, particularly that of fatherhood, and being a watchmen. Gatherings will consist of social time, presentation, small group discussion, and prayer.
Keep Holy the Lord’s Day: Celebrating Sunday. Fr. Michael Skluzacek will be sharing how we as watchmen can move from merely attending Mass on Sunday to rediscovering and observing the entire day as the Lord’s Day.
Fr. Michael Skluzacek, is currently the Pastor of St. John the Baptist Church in New Brighton, and former pastor of St. Michael’s and St. Mary’s Church in Stillwater and Rector of the Cathedral of St. Paul. Father Skluzacek was ordained in 1980. He also served on the faculty at St. John Vianney Seminary in St. Paul and as spiritual formation director at American College in Louvain, Belgium.
