These are monthly events that call men in the Stillwater parishes into community, formation, and equipping for discipleship and mission. We gather to build fraternity and zealously live the Catholic faith. The topics will have an explicit focus that relate to men’s spirituality, particularly that of fatherhood, and being a watchmen. Gatherings will consist of social time, presentation, small group discussion, and prayer.
The Watchman and his Children: Prayer, Silence, Responsibility, and Freedom. Dr. John Boyle PH.D will be sharing some practical and concrete spiritual tools we have as Catholic fathers to help our children grow up to be the free and responsible men and women God asks them to be. A questions and answer period will follow the presentation.
Dr. Boyle is a Professor of Catholic Studies and chair of the Department of Catholic Studies at the University of St. Thomas specializing on the theology of the Middle Ages, Thomas Aquinas, and Thomas More. He is a prolific writer and editor of numerous articles and publications.
